New Homes Waterman Junction will feature a wide range of home styles and sizes, from townhomes to homes on larger lots, to meet the diverse needs of Barstow and the High Desert. Many will feature views of the lake, golf course and the stunning desert landscape. Others may be located on the shores of the lake with private boat slips. Recreational Lake A 200-acre lake will provide a host of new recreational opportunities, and will feature a boardwalk with shops and restaurants. Golf Courses Plans for Waterman Junction include an 18-hole championship golf course in the heart of the community, and an executive course in the Active-Adult District. Active-Adult Neighborhoods Waterman Junction is designed to include two active-adult villages. As proposed, one village will be located at the northern portion of the community near existing retail centers. The second village will be positioned near the lake, offering waterfront homes and access to the championship golf course. Town Center A vibrant Town Center will provide a diverse mix of shopping, entertainment and dining opportunities all within one central and easily accessible location. Business Park An expansive business park will provide hundreds of new local jobs and bring greater economic stability to Barstow. Freeway Commercial A retail center along Interstate 15 will provide new opportunities for local residents and travelers along the freeway. Recreation Centers A series of pools and recreation centers will be located throughout the community, providing residents access to state- of-the-art facilities. Schools Waterman Junction includes land for up to 12 potential school sites, sized for elementary, junior high, high school uses. Trails and Open Spaces Waterman Junction will feature miles of hiking and biking trails weaving through hundreds of acres of protected natural open space. Education and Cultural District The Education and Cultural District will be a series of pedestrian-friendly corridors lined with shops and restaurants, linking the high school and junior high campus sites with the amphitheater. Amphitheater An outdoor amphitheater is proposed, and will serve as a venue for arts and entertainment.
